Highly Conformable Non-Bordered Foam Dressing for Low to High Viscosity Exudate

Mepilex® XT is a sterile, non-bordered soft silicone foam dressing designed to manage a wide range of exuding acute and chronic wounds. Engineered with integrated exudate channels, it efficiently absorbs and distributes both low- and high-viscosity exudate while maintaining a moist wound environment and reducing the risk of maceration. The Safetac® wound contact layer minimises pain and trauma during dressing changes, protecting both the wound bed and surrounding skin. The large 20cm x 20cm size is ideal for extensive wounds or areas requiring broader coverage.

Indications for Use:

Mepilex® XT is indicated for a wide range of exuding acute and chronic wounds at all stages of healing, including leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic wounds, skin tears, and secondary healing wounds. Suitable for use under compression bandaging and in combination with wound gels. May be used by lay persons under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Application Guidelines:

• Cleanse the wound according to standard clinical practice
• Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly
• Select a dressing size that overlaps surrounding skin by 3–5 cm for larger wounds
• Remove release film and apply the adherent side to the wound without stretching
• Smooth dressing into place and secure with bandage or fixation if required
• Change dressing as clinically indicated, before full saturation or if leakage occurs
