Description
Welch Allyn PanOptic Plus LED Ophthalmoscope
Supports both optical examinations and digital imaging
The Welch Allyn PanOptic Plus LED Ophthalmoscope is a next-generation wide-view ophthalmoscope designed to provide clinicians with a significantly expanded view of the fundus while maintaining the familiar handling of a traditional direct ophthalmoscope. Compared with the view through a standard 3.5 V ophthalmoscope, the PanOptic Plus delivers a 20× larger viewing area, helping healthcare professionals visualize more retinal anatomy in a single examination.
Engineered for modern clinical workflows, this ophthalmoscope supports both optical examinations and digital imaging. When paired with the Welch Allyn iExaminer Pro System, clinicians can capture digital eye exam images for documentation, consultation, and patient education.
A major innovation is Quick Eye™ alignment technology, which uses alignment lights on the patient side of the instrument to help guide patient gaze. This feature improves optic disc alignment and makes it easier for clinicians to obtain a clear view during retinal exams.
The PanOptic Plus also incorporates long-lasting LED illumination for bright, consistent lighting while reducing the need for lamp replacements. Built with DuraShock™ technology, the instrument is designed to withstand the demands of daily clinical use.
Compatible with Welch Allyn 3.5 V power handles and wall transformers, the ophthalmoscope can also be paired with the Welch Allyn Lithium Ion Plus Power Handle to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
