Indications

• For use on patients 6 months or older
• Indicated for impacted cerumen and/or foreign bodies occluding the ear canal
• Use only when no infection or eardrum perforation is known or suspected

Contraindications

• Previous complications from ear irrigation
• History of middle ear infection within the past six weeks
• Discharge, pain, or tenderness in the ear canal
• Known or suspected eardrum perforation
• History of ear surgery
• Cleft palate (repaired or unrepaired)
• Tympanostomy tubes
• Inner ear problems, especially vertigo
• Presence of button or hearing aid batteries (requires emergent ENT consultation)
