GamaCide3 can be used to decontaminate or pre-clean critical or semi-critical medical devices PRIOR to appropriate sterilization/high-level disinfection. GamaCide3 can also be used to disinfect non-critical devices such as stethoscopes, stainless steel or plastic trays, and alligator clips.

GamaCide3 is not to be used as a terminal sterilant or high-level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that is introduced directly into the human body and comes in contact with
1) Bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or 2) mucous membranes but does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or enter normally sterile areas of the body. Critical and semi-critical devices must be followed by appropriate terminal sterilization or high-level disinfection process.
