ChloraPrep

Chloraprep is used for disinfection of the skin prior to invasive medical procedures.

ChloraPrep offers a patient-friendly preoperative skin preparation solution that is fast-acting, long-lasting, and broad-spectrum.   The active ingredients of Chloraprep are Chorhexidine Gluconate and Isopropyl Alcohol.  This unique antiseptic stands out for its proven persistent anti-microbial efficacy in numerous clinical studies, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Chlorhexidine gluconate's antimicrobial action is due to the disruption of the cell membrane and the precipitation of cell contents. It has a bactericidal or bacteriostatic action against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 

Isopropyl alcohol is a rapidly bactericidal and a fast acting broad spectrum antiseptic.
